YIC2023 in collaboration with the journal SN Applied Sciences (a Springer Nature open access journal) offers the possibility to conference participants to send a full paper to the Topical Collection.

Guest editors:

  • Dr. Ana Ramos, University of Porto, Portugal.
  • Dr. Enrique Nadal Soriano, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
  • Dr. Konrad Perzyński, AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland.
  • Prof. Alexander Popp, Universitaet der Bundeswehr Muenchen, Germany.
  • Prof. Stefanie Elgeti, RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

Aims and scope:

The contributions to this Topical Collection aim at the development of new cutting-edge mathematical and computational methods as well as their application to modeling and simulation in different areas of engineering and the applied sciences. Even though the Topical Collection focuses especially on young researchers, we look for all articles that are of interest to both young and senior scientists in the field of computational science and engineering. Furthermore, contributions that go beyond the traditional approaches within the field of modelling and simulation are particularly welcome. Examples of specific areas of interest are given in the following: Computational Material Science, Computational Solids and Structural Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Coupled Multiphysics Problems, Computational Applied Mathematics, Industrial Applications and Challenges, Computational Engineering Science, Computational Geomechanics, Computational Advances in Composites, Computational Biomechanics, Computational Fracture and Damage Mechanics, Multiscale Modelling, Advances in Numerical Methods, Scientific Computing, Software Development for Computational Engineering.

Submit your manuscript

We encourage you to submit relevant papers to the journal’s Topical Collection. Articles will be published immediately after acceptance. All submissions go through the regular peer-review process and the Guest Editors will strive for a rapid publication.

Articles can be submitted through Springer Nature’s Article Processing Platform (https://submission.springernature.com/new-submission/42452/3). During the submission procedure, please select the relevant Topical Collection «Engineering: Young Investigators in Computational Science and Engineering» from the section/category (drop down menu).

About the journal: SN Applied Sciences

Fully Open Access. Rapid publication. Indexed in SCOPUS, ESCI, Ei Compendex, DOAJ and other services.

By publishing Open Access (OA), we can support authors in ensuring their work has the widest possible reach and enable all readers to access this content without paywalls or restrictions. Open Access means widest possible dissemination and more downloads, more exposure, more citations for your work.
